About the Job
We are seeking a Licensed Tennessee Home Inspector to perform residential home inspections and builder warranty inspections throughout the Greater Nashville area.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, professional communication skills, and confidence working directly with home buyers, builders, and real estate agents.
Responsibilities:
- Perform residential home inspections in accordance with Tennessee standards
- Conduct builder warranty and follow-up inspections
- Conduct Preclosing walks with home buyers to Identify defects, safety concerns, and incomplete construction items
- Explain findings clearly to clients, builders, and agents
- Produce detailed, professional inspection reports
- Apply Residential Construction Performance Guidelines (RCPG) when applicable
Requirements:
- Active Tennessee Home Inspector License (Required)
- Strong knowledge of residential construction systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Ability to climb ladders and access attics/crawlspaces
Preferred:
- Warranty or new construction inspection experience
- Construction trade background (General Contractor, Plumbing, Electrical, Etc.)
- Experience with home inspection report writing software
